PPL(H) Helicopter Pilot License Course

We offer comprehensive training to obtain the PPL(H) license, consisting of both theoretical and practical components.

Theoretical Training

Our ATO training center provides each student with all the necessary study materials. Additionally, video conferencing classes are available in the new theory classroom at the Caiolo base (SO).

The course includes approximately 100 hours of theory, covering the following subjects:

  • Aviation regulations

  • General aircraft knowledge

  • Performance and planning

  • Human factors and limitations

  • Meteorology

  • Navigation

  • Operational procedures

  • Principles of flight

Practical Training

In accordance with PART FCL, section FCL.210.H, obtaining a PPL(H) license requires a minimum of 45 flight hours, including:

  • 25 hours of dual flight time with an instructor.

  • 10 hours of solo flight time.

Flight hours must be booked 1–2 days in advance. Flights are available even on holidays, depending on favorable weather conditions.

The course includes practical IMC/S lessons and a Safety Course for students taking the qualification test on a Robinson helicopter.

Note: To obtain a PPL(H) license on a Robinson R22, a total of 50 flight hours is required.
