TPL(H) Frozen – Theoretical Course for Helicopter Pilot License

Course Objectives

The course is designed to equip students with the knowledge required to pass the theoretical exams for obtaining the ATPL(H) Frozen license (Airline Transport Pilot License).

An ATPL(H) license enables pilots to operate as a captain or co-pilot on helicopters used for commercial air transport, in both single-pilot and multi-pilot operations.

Candidate Requirements

• Age:
  Minimum age for the practical exam is 21 years.

• Education:
  A high school diploma is required.

• Knowledge Assessment:
  Entry tests evaluate:

  • Physics and mathematics knowledge.

  • English language proficiency.

• Prerequisites:
  A valid PPL(H) or CPL(H) license.

Course Structure

The course is divided into two parts:

1. Distance Learning:
   Online theoretical materials are available to study at your own pace.

2. In-Person Training:
   Conducted at the Caiolo base or other training locations.

• CPL(H) License Holders:

  • Course reduced by 200 hours.

  • Exemption from the VFR Communications exam.

• IR(H) Certificate Holders:

  • Course reduced by 200 hours.

  • Exemption from the IFR Communications exam.

• CPL(H) + IR(H) Holders:

  • Course reduced by 350 hours.

  • Exemption from both VFR and IFR Communications exams.
